Quotes & a Verse On Trust.

Updated: Jun 12, 2021

One definition of Trust is defined by Merriam-Webster as, "assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something."

As a Christian, the someone that I have assured reliance on because of His character, ability, truth, and strength is God. My trust is placed in the person of Jesus Christ, He’s written about in the Holy Bible. I don't know all the events that will occur along my pilgrimage in life, let along my pilgrimage this year but "I Can Trust Jesus” He will take care of me.

Here are a few quotes and a bible verse on trust that are very encouraging to me, they can be for you also.

1." Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)

2. “Pray, and let God worry instead.” ~Martin Luther.

3. "We cannot always trace God's hand but we can always trust God's heart." ~Charles Spurgeon

4. “Restlessness and impatience change nothing except our peace and joy. Peace does not dwell in outward things, but in the heart prepared to wait trustfully and quietly on Him who has all things safely in His hands.” ~Elisabeth Elliot.

5. "It is morally impossible to exercise trust in God while there is a failure to wait upon Him for guidance and direction. The man who does not learn to wait upon the Lord and have his thoughts molded by Him will never possess that steady purpose and calm trust, which is essential to the exercise of wise influence upon others, in times of crisis and difficulty."" ~D.E. Hoste

This hymn quoted below points my heart to Jesus, the one whom I trust. The title is "Trust Him when thy wants are many." "Trust Him when dark doubts assail thee, Trust Him when thy strength is small, Trust Him when to simply trust Him Seems the hardest thing of all. Trust Him; He is ever faithful; Trust Him, for His will is best; Trust Him, for the heart of Jesus Is the only place of rest. Trust Him, then, through cloud or sunshine, All thy cares upon Him cast, Till the storm of life is over, And the trusting days are past." Are you trusting in something or someone else besides Jesus Christ? If you examine your life, you’ll find what you’re really trusting in. What happens if you lose the object or person of your trust? Go to Jesus Christ, He is faithful and will never leave nor forsake those who trust in Him. Read Romans 10:13.
