Part of the journey is the end...

Updated: May 10, 2021

I'm an alumnus of Hobe Sound Bible College now. Wow.

These three years were the best in my life so far. I would do it all over again if I could. The thousands of miles I traveled around the United States, all the tears that left my eyes, all the adventures I made with friends, all the friendships that were built, all the good memories I was a part of, all the spiritual progress and work God has done in my life was all worth it!

This last semester was the hardest emotionally.

- The summer of 2018 was the best because of my internship with Pastor Darrell II and Lizzie Stetler.

- The class that had the most impact and changed the direction of my life was Wisdom Literature with Dr. Randall McElwain.

- I enjoyed serving lunch in the cafeteria and seeing all my peers and professors, they made my heart happy on the hardest days.

- My favorite spot was the Addison Student Center, so many GOOD MEMORIES that involve laughter with amazing people.

Freshman year Ronald is so very different from alumnus Ronald, God has worked in my life so very much... BUT I'm still broken and I have not arrived. Yeah I have a Bachelor's in Ministerial Studies but I am a life long student. Yeah, I see, along with others, the growth I've had here but I look on ahead and see that I am still being made into the image of Jesus Christ.

You see, no Christian ever "arrives" as long as they are still living in time.

I've had many downs and more ups while I was here but it was the most influential time of my life. I am thankful to have been molded for good at this institution.

Hobe Sound Bible College's motto is "Knowing Christ and Making Him Known." This is a sentence that I want to summarize my life and its objective. I look behind and there is so much more I could say but I am "press[ing] toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:14 ESV).

The Best Is Yet To Come.
